Elden Henson who was born Elden Ryan Ratliff is an American actor best known for his role as Fulton Reed in the trilogy Mighty Ducks. For everyone who has followed the trajectory of Elden’s career, it is interesting to note that he is always cast in movies as some sort of social misfit. His always goofy look makes him suitable for roles that require a sprinkling of humor.

Elden is also known for playing Foggy Nelson in the Box Office movie Daredevil and famously Pollux in Part 1 and Part 2 of the movie The Hunger Games: Mockingjay.

Biography

Elden Henson was born on the 30^th of August 1977 in Rockville, Maryland United States to George Ratliff who was an actor. Elden’s mother was a professional photographer.

Probably inspired by their fathers’ vocation, their mother often took her young boys for commercial movie auditions which we feel led to the entire Ratliff boys becoming successful actors.

For the family, acting seemed to be embedded in their genes as his siblings Garette Ratliff Henson appeared alongside Elden in the Mighty Ducks. His brother Erick Ratliff is also an actor and appeared with his brother Elden in Elvis and Me. Elden’s half-brother Ellington Ratliff is a drummer and vocalist for the Los Angeles based Rock band R5.

Elden Henson began his career as a professional actor in 1984 when he was given a small role in the television film called 1^st & Ten, he also lent his voice for the short film Jaws: The Revenge in 1987.

His career kick-started in 1992 when he was giving the role to play Fulton Reed from 1992 to 1996 in all the three films in The Mighty Ducks trilogy – The Mighty Ducks in 1992, D2: The Mighty Ducks in 1994 and D3: The Mighty Ducks in 1996. Elden has always insisted that he owed everything to those films and reiterated that he still gains recognition for those films more than any of his previous works.

Over a 30 year career, Elden has appeared in successful hits such as Manic, Cheats, Cast Away, A Gift Of Love; The Daniel Huffman Story, Eldorado, The Butterfly Effect among many others

In 2015 Henson was signed up to the Netflix television series Daredevil to play the role of Foggy Nelson and has kept that role ever since. He spoke of his excitement on getting the role as Foggy who he classified as a useless sidekick. Henson saw his character Foggy as a comical relief in the series, a role he is perfectly suited for.

In the Daredevil spin-off miniseries The Defenders, Henson also portrayed Foggy. He was given a cameo guest appearance in the season 2 of the series Jessica Jones. His most recent movie appearance is in the 2015 American science fiction The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 & 2 directed by Francis Lawrence.
