Bio & Age

Katherine Anne Couric was born on the 7th of January, 1957 in Arlington, Virginia. It is understandable where Katie got her writing skills from as her mother, Elinor Tullie, was a writer. She also got her passion for the news from her father John Couric, a news editor and public relations executive. As a news editor, her father worked for the United Press in Washington D.C. and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Katie was raised as a Presbyterian even though her mother was Jewish. She has also been able to trace her lineage, on her father’s side, to a French Orphan who relocated to the United States in the 19th century.
