Kyle Korver’s Bio

The NBA Star was born Kyle Elliot Korver on March 17, 1981, in Paramount, California. He was raised in a Christian family by a father who is a pastor and his grandfather is also a pastor. He grew up as the eldest child in a family with three other siblings.

Although it was in Los Angeles that he was raised, his family later moved to Iowa. While growing up in LA, Kyle had wanted to be a basketball player, having followed the Los Angeles Lakers as a fan and watched people like .

He has his education from Pella High School in Iowa and after he graduated, he moved to the Creighton University where he played for the Creighton Bluejays men’s basketball team.

Professional Career

He began as a professional basketball player after he made it as the 51st pick in the NBA Draft of 2003 by the New Jersey Nets, but he was soon to be traded to the Philadelphia 76ers. Having signed a deal that would only keep him with the 76ers for 2 years, he signed another in 2005 which was worth $25 million.

His NBA career would see him playing for other teams such as the Utah Jazz from 2007 to 2010, Chicago Bulls from 2010 to 2012, and Atlanta Hawks from 2012 to 2017. It was from here that he moved to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Having spent 12 seasons in the NBA, Kyle Korver made his first National Basketball Association All-Star in 2015. In the same year, he won the NBA Sportsmanship Award (2015). His records in the NBA include the highest three-point shooting percentage recorded in a season and he recorded the same feat for the 76ers.

Korver is married to American singer Juliet Richardson who is more popular as Juliet. Just like her husband, she was raised in a Christian family where Rock music for which she would later be popular for was prohibited. At first, she set out to become a model before moving on to music where she met fame with the Band 1 Plus 1.

The basketballer and his wife got married in 2011. As pointed out, both grew up in religious homes as such, it is no surprise that they met in the church after a pastor introduced them.
