Landry Fields is a college scout who has made a name for himself in the National Basketball Association (NBA) having played for New York Knicks and the Toronto Raptors before he was forced to an early retirement as a result of injury problems. Fields was born on June 27, 1988, in Long Beach, California and was brought up alongside 2 siblings by his parents, Steve and Janice Fields.

All through his life, Landry has always been very close to basketball, hence, it is not surprising to realize that he became very good at the game. This is as not only was his father, Steve Fields, a college basketball player when he was at Miami University, he also made the 1975 draft even though he didn’t get to appear in an NBA game.

The only thing that is more interesting than his father also playing in his younger days is that his mother, Janice Fields was once a community college basketball player. A cousin to Cameron Jones, Landry also has some members of his extended family that have played the sport.

For his education, he went to the Ellwood P. Cubberley Elementary School from where he proceeded to the Stanford University where he continued to play. Putting up an outstanding performance, he was selected by the New York Knicks in the 2010 NBA Draft. Before then, he made the First-team All-Pac-10 and was named the Pac-10 Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

By the end of his first season in the NBA, he got to make the NBA All-Rookie First Team. Before then, he was the rookie of the month for November and December 2010 in the Eastern Conference. He remained with the Knickers until 2012 when he signed a contract of three years with the Toronto Raptors that was worth $20 million.

Unfortunately for him, he didn’t get to make it big with the Raptors as he kept suffering from injuries. By the time his contract had finished, he went to have another surgery that ruled him out for as much as five months. As a result of this, he didn’t take part in the 2015-2016 season, marking the end of his career. Still, he remained close to the sports as he was made college scout by the San Antonio Spurs.

Apart from basketball, he has also made some television appearances. In 2011, he was a part of The Andy and Landry Show which he ran with former teammate, Andy Rautins. The show did not last a year before coming to an end. Next, he was a reality show contestant on the Sing Your Face Off in 2014, and together with Lisa Rinna, he was named the runner-up.

By 2013, the duo got engaged before ending up as man and wife in 2014 in an event held on a rooftop overlooking a beautiful Gothic cathedral at Rockefeller Center. The union has thus far been blessed with two sons: Jackson James Fields who was born a year before the couple got married and Kai David Fields was born in 2016.

Elaine Alden was a model before getting married and she appeared in some fitness videos but not much is known about her family or how she was brought up.
