Noah Vonleh is a plausible explanation to why some people regard basketball as a game where insanely tall guys run after a ball bouncing it all over the place just to earn some cool dough. Even though Noah isn’t the tallest B-baller in the NBA league, the power forward has always left people asking “Who the heck is that dude?” Well, let’s learn more about him.

Who Is Noah Vonleh?

As at the time of this writing, this bloke plays basketball professionally for NBA’s New York Knicks. Noah’s basketball career kicked off in 2011 at New Hampton School in New Hampton, New Hampshire shortly after his transfer from Haverhill High School in Haverhill, Massachusetts. He began playing as a junior, scoring an average of 16 points and 9 rebounds in each game. As a senior, his score points increased to 17, 12 rebounds and 4 assists in each game. Thus, he was awarded the McDonald’s All-American honors.

Noah turned down offers to play for North Carolina, Kansas, Ohio State, and the University of California, Los Angeles. He opted to play for Indiana University and committed to the team sometime in November 2012. In his first season with the Hoosiers, he averaged 1.4 blocks, 9.0 rebounds, and 11.3 points in 30 games. Little wonder he was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Year and to the third team All-Big Ten in the lone season.

After his freshman campaign, the basketballer decided to move on from college, thus he declared his interest for the NBA draft in April 2014. He was selected by the Charlotte Hornets in the first round as the 9th overall pick and subsequently signed with the team in July. But then, Noah didn’t get to prove his worth immediately as he went through a surgery that kept him away from the court for roughly 2 months. When he was fit to play again, he had his stint with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the NBA Development League but would return and play with the Hornets 3 days later before he was eventually traded to the Portland Trail Blazers in June 2015.

Interestingly, his first game was against the Hornets on 15th November 2015. He scored 9 points and 6 rebounds within 24 minutes of the game. Noah’s performance with the side improved a great deal after Jusuf Nurkic joined the team in February of 2017. In 2018, he joined the Chicago Bulls after he was traded for the draft rights to Serbian player, Milovan Raković; this was in February 2018. But as fate would have it, his stay with the Bulls wouldn’t last as long as his time with the Blazers. July of that same year saw him make a pact with the New York Knicks, details of the contract were not disclosed.

Of course, the foregoing isn’t all there is to know about this American basketballer. As there is more to who he is, the following are the facts you’d love to know about him.
