Paul had his earliest education first with Cleves School, Weybridge, and then Hampton School, west London before moving to Strode’s College, Egham, Surrey for his A-levels. Later, he would get to attend Arizona State University on a golf scholarship.

Beginning his career as an amateur golfer, Casey never failed to distinguish himself from his peers. He displayed an exceptional playing record while in the U.S winning the Pac-12 championship three consecutive times (1998, 1999, and 2000).

It was, in fact, after his success in the 2000 championship that he turned pro. This was inevitable considering the fact that he broke records held by the American Professional golfer, Eldrick Tont Woods better known as Since then, Paul has taken part in two notable world professional golf tours, the US-based PGA Tour and the European Tour.

In May 2001, Casey joined the European Tour where he came second in his fifth event and made a major win in the Gleneagles Scottish PGA Championship.
