1. Born on February 27, 1983, Kate Rooney Mara in Bedford, New York, the actress is the second of four children; Daniel, Rooney Mara, and Conor. She is of Iris, German, French, British, and Italian descent.

Their first meeting was when they did a screen test together for a role that neither of them later got.
