It is not often that you find an accomplished athlete making a successful transition from competitive sports to showbiz. Blessed with a good voice and a figure fit for modeling, Anna Semenovich has successfully graced both worlds.
Biography
Anna Grigorievna Semenovich is a Russian singer, actress and model. She is also a retired competitive ice dancer. She was born on the 1st of March 1980 in Moscow to the family of Director of fur company Gregory T. and to a Russian economist Tatyana Dmitrievna Semenovich.
As a child, she fell sick and spent 6 months in the hospital; she was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. She only burst into prominence with her skating career with compatriot Denis Samokhin. The pair competed together at two separate World Junior Championships, placed 8th in 1993 and 7th in 1994. She briefly partnered with Maxim Kachanov and they were subsequently placed 5th in the 1994 Goodwill Games, she then teamed up with Vladimir Fedorov in 1995. Their partnership turned out to be equally successful as the pair won the Finlandia Trophy twice and also partook in the Grand Prix of Figure Skating. They went on to achieve greater things together, but the absolute height of their partnership was when they were placed 15th at the 1998 world championships.
But as all good things come to an end, she parted ways with Fedorov in 1999 and Semenovich then went on to team up with fellow countryman Roman Kostomarov for just a single season. And with her new partner, she was the Russian bronze medalist and competed at both the 2000 European Championships and subsequently, the 2000 world championships. At the end of that partnership, she decided to be reunited with Denis Samokhin and came 4th at the 2001 Russian Championships.
Sadly, Anna Semenovich had to call time on her career because of an injury. Following her retirement from professional skating, she began working as an actress, singer and as a model. She sang with Blestyshchie from 2003-2007. In March 2007, to the surprise of many, she decided to pursue her solo career and in 2008, she released her album Слухи. She also did release a single titled Ha Моря which featured Arash. She also dabbled a bit into acting when she was given the lead role in the successful 2008 Russian spy comedy. Hitler goes Kaput. Semenovich played in the 2012 sequel Rzhevsky vs Napoleon.

Her personal life is less pronounced. Apart from her music and sporting career, she is actively involved in philanthropy. She spends her time and resources working with a trust that caters for the needs of old people. And in addition to her trust program, she also gives financial assistance to the less privileged in the society.
In 2007 she was part of the TV show ICE AGE which came out on Russia’s channel 1. She made an unusual appearance on several occasions on men’s magazine (Maxim, XXL, FHM, penguin).
The multitalented beautiful lady has an estimated net worth of around 1 million dollars. In 2006, she returned back to the ice after injuries had forced her from it, but she did not return as an athlete but as a participant in the show Fire and Ice. Also between 2010-2011, she participated in a reality show Wives For Hire.
Family
Her father Grigoriy Semenovich was the owner of a fur company and her mother was Tatyana Semonovich. She has just one sibling named Kirill Semenovich. Anna has kept a tight lid on her personal life and very little is known about her love life. It was only recently that she decided to speak up about her love life. She had met a businessman Dmitri who was 5 years her senior. At some point, the pair lived together. Again the athlete turned singer and actress has been spotted at a red carpet event with a guy the press couldn’t identify.
