Boyfriend, Husband, Divorce Rumors
Tamar Braxton’s romantic life is one aspect of her life that has drawn a huge media attention. Her most known relationship to the media was with record executive, Vincent Herbert. The pair met in 2003 after being introduced to each other by the oldest Braxton sister Toni.
They began a romantic relationship shortly afterward and were married on the 27th of November 2008, after about 5 years of dating. Vince became her manager and signed her to his Streamline Records, an imprint of Interscope Records.
Their marriage, as well as Tamar’s journey to musical success, was documented on their spin-off show Tamar & Vince which aired for 5 seasons ending in December 2017 due to their imminent divorce.
Rumors about their divorce began to swirl due to events that unfolded on their show (including a domestic violence allegation against Vince) and in October 2017, Tamar filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. Tamar’s mom Evelyn alleged that Vince had abused Tamar for the most part of their tumultuous union. There was also an allegation that Vince had impregnated another woman, which he denied.
Shortly before the divorce, Tamar had retired from her music career to focus on her marriage but apparently, it wasn’t enough. At the time, she had revealed that her fourth studio album, Bluebird of Happiness could be her last record, though she intends to continue writing for other artists. Tamar had a son with Vince named Logan Vincent Herbert on June 6, 2013.
Before Vince came into Tamar’s life she was previously married to music producer Darrell “Delite” Allamby, for two years from 2001 to 2003. He was her first husband.
In September 2018 on the Wendy Williams Show, Tamar revealed that she had a boyfriend whom she had been dating for three months. He is an LA-based Harvard alum with Nigerian roots.
