Robbie Williams was born Robert Peter Williams on February 13, 1974, in Stoke City, Staffordshire, England. He has Irish ancestry from his mother’s side of the family. The young Williams had his secondary education at St Margaret Ward Catholic Academy in Tunstall, Stoke City and also enrolled for dance school at the UKDDF in Tunstall.
Robbie Williams joined the pop group ‘Take That’ in 1990 at the age of 16. He was the lead vocalist in a number of the band’s hit songs including their first top 10 single “Could It Be Magic”.
