Hot on the heels of her hit debut single, Mandy dropped her first studio album, So Real, in December 1999 which received mixed reviews. On May 9, 2000, her second studio album I Wanna Be With You dropped to more mixed reviews from critics but was a commercial success. Her eponymous album was released in June 2001, peaking at number 35 on the Billboard 200 chart, and was certified Gold by the RIAA.
