Harden who is the youngest of three children was born on August 23, 1989, in Los Angeles, California. His time at Artesia High School in Lakewood saw him improve his stats every season, leading the team to the California state title in his junior and senior years. His Professional Career

1. Oklahoma City Thunders

Harden continued to break personal and team records with the Thunders after he joined them as the third overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft. He scored a season-high 26 points in his first two seasons with the team and a season-high 40 points from a reserve role in his third and final season. In his first season, he attempted and made seven consecutive three-pointers across two games, making him the first rookie to achieve it since Michael Dickerson in 1999. James also scored 45 points in his second game, bringing his points total to 82, a first-ever in the history of the NBA.
