Steven Suptic is an American YouTuber and a co-founder of Sugar Pine 7 – an entertainment company whose YouTube channel has garnered millions of subscribers and video views. Prior to his success with the vlog inspired mockumentary web series, Suptic worked on another series called Alternative Lifestyle which he launched on his personal YouTube.

Steven Suptic was born on February 6, 1993, as the only child of his parents. Last year, while expressing his admiration for his friend, Benji Blakeway, Suptic said he always thought about what it would be like to have a brother or sister. But obviously, he would never know.
Sugar Pine 7
Suptic met and became friends with Clayton “Cib” James in 2012. He knew James DeAngelis and editor Autumn Farrell while working at SourceFed. Together, they co-founded Sugar Pine 7. It was reported that by 2017, the YouTube channel has gained over one million subscribers and more than 60 million video views.
He began his Alternative Lifestyle YouTube series short after SourceFed was cancelled in early 2017. According to him, the show is a “freeze-frame narrated, hyper-surrealistic, an improv-based comedy that uses the vlog format as a vehicle to promote a character-driven story.”
By September 2017, the pseudo-documentary of his life after SourceFed metamorphosed to become what is now Sugar Pine 7 – also a part of the Rooster Teeth family. The series won the Streamy Award for Show of the Year and so far, it boasts of 1.1 million subscribers.

In an up-close interview, Steven Suptic said while he worked at SourceFed and anticipated the company will fold someday, he worked extra time on his personal channel. At the time, he was doing uninspired reaction and challenge videos to earn extra money and to keep an audience. However, as his freeze-frame-narrated content caught the interests of several fans who loved the stuff he shared, Suptic took it to heart and it became a career and a source of livelihood.
On the concept that makes up SP7, Suptic said they usually move around Los Angeles, filming miscellaneous happenings. Afterwards, the pieces are brought together to form a complete story for their channel.
Besides managing the company, Suptic reveals he’s working on an actual novel, not like the YouTube. According to him, “I don’t know if it will be good yet, but so far I’m proud of what I’ve written. I like Riverdale, so my opinion on writing might not be worth considering.”
Speaking on what’s next for the channel, Suptic said they have a two-year plan and are hoping to fund an “off of YouTube” episodic project. But as one who’s a firm believer that when one talks about their big plans, they’ll be less likely to commit to them, he didn’t want to be more elaborate. According to him, “If I say any more, I’ll feel like I already completed it.
