Marissa Mazzola-McMahon is a film producer, show presenter and also the wife of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), Inc.’s Executive Vice President, Shane McMahon. She is co-host of the interactive WWF Livewire show with Michael Coulthard, popularly known as Michael Cole. She has also hosted other shows on Raw and SmackDown. Marissa has been the public relations officer in the WWE for a long time before deciding to delve into the world of making films in 2005. Marissa and Shane McMahon have three sons together who are considered as the AI generation of the pro-wrestling family’s lineage.

Marissa Mazzola-McMahon is an American of Italian ancestry who was born July 13, 1973, in New York City, New York and was raised in Greenwich Connecticut. Her star sign is Cancer and she is the daughter of Anthony Mazzola, who is of Italian ethnicity. She has two brothers even though much details about them are not known. Marissa was born as Marissa Ann Mazzola and she attended the Greenwich Academy, a private all-girls school before proceeding to attend Boston University. She has always shown great interest in show business and the entertainment industry.

Career

Upon graduating from school, Marissa Mazzola-McMahon worked in Dan Klores as a public relations officer for one year (1999 to 2000). During that time, she co-hosted a WWF LiveWire – a show which allowed the viewers to participate in the conversation with their favourite wrestling superstars by calling in – with commentator Michael Cole, as he is popularly called. The show was aired initially on USA Network and was later aired on The Nashville Network (TNN).

Although she has been actively involved in the shows and other WWE activities (RAW, SmackDown, etc), most of which promoted the wrestling and fights, she has never participated in a fight, unlike other members of the McMahon family. She was later promoted to the position of WWE’s director of public relations, a position she occupied for a while. Marissa would delve into the world of movies and film after being part of the 2002 WWE film ‘The Scorpion King’  which starred Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. She had a cameo role as a bird merchant in the film and so she marched on from there.

 

In 2005, she launched Kamala Films located in New York City, which serves as her own movie production platform. Its first production was Quitters a short film which starred Michelle Marlowe, Sergio Cacciotti and Jonathan Hemingway and debuted on June 5, 2005. In 2007, Anamorph became her first film as a film producer. The crime thriller starred Scott Speedman, Willem Dafoe and Peter Stormare.

In 2012, Marissa Mazzola-McMahon became the executive producer of the romance film, What Maisie Knew which was a raving success. The movie, which was directed by Scott McGehee and David Siegel, starred Steve Coogan, Juliane Moore and Alexander Skarsgård. Next up for Marissa will be A Private War directed by Matthew Heineman and another romance drama An Affair.

Marissa Mazzola is married to Shane McMahon of the McMahon wrestling family line and they have three children together, all boys. She met her husband at a very young age in Connecticut and they grew up together as friends. Then as grown-ups, they began dating and got married on September 14, 1996, at the McMahons estate in a private party with just family and friends. Marissa gave birth to Declan James McMahon, their first child on February 13, 2004, when she was age 30. Their second son, Kenyon Jesse McMahon came two years later, on March 26, 2006, and her last son Rogan McMahon on January 20, 2010. She currently lives with her husband and kids in Manhattan.

Shane McMahon is a fourth generation superstar in WWE, known for his risky attempts in the ring when fighting an opponent. He is the first son of Vincent “Vince” Kennedy McMahon, the CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). Shane worked backstage as a merchandiser during his teenage years and later became a referee and stage announcer before contending with other wrestlers in the ring. He left the WWE in 2010 to explore other opportunities in life and returned in 2016 to become the executive manager of SmackDown. He has a bike which he named “Sweet Marissa”, after his wife, Marissa.

Family has always meant a lot to Marissa and she has so far, successfully combined an active work life with being a mother, wife, daughter-in-law and sister-in-law. Marissa Mazzola-McMahon is married into the legendary professional wrestling family; the McMahon’s. They are Americans of Irish descent who have been actively involved in the wrestling game for generations and have changed the face of wrestling to make it more entertaining. The McMahons, although known to fight publicly with each other, share a loving relationship with their in-law Marissa especially Stephanie McMahon, Shane’s younger sister.

Apart from being the daughter-in-law of WWE CEO. Vince McMahon and his wife, Linda McMahon, as well as the sister-in-law of Stephanie Marie McMahon-Levesque and Paul Levesque, popularly known as Triple H, Marissa Mazzola-McMahon is also aunt to three beautiful ladies who are the daughters of Triple H and Stephanie. The girls are Aurora Rose (born 2006), Murphy Claire (born 2008), and Vaughn Evelyn (born 2010).
