Chris met his love through mutual acquaintances in the beginning of 2010 and the two tied the knot by the ending of the year. Elsa Pataky is also an actress. The Spanish star has also dabbled into modelling and film production but is best known as an actress in films like Fast Five, Fast and Furious 6, Furious 7 and Snakes on a Plane.

He explained that being with her was so easy and that it just made sense for the both of them to tie the knot barely a year after they met.

Since becoming a house hold name, himself and his family have moved back to Byron Bay, Australia. He explained that he felt no need to stay in Los Angeles any longer because his successful career offers a certain amount of ease in securing future roles.

The 2014 publication of People’s magazine named the actor as its sexiest man alive. The actor has however worked really hard to earn this hunky role, as the actor gained 20 pounds of lean muscle for Thor! Apparently when beating the bad guys, Thor has to be in the tiptop shape most bodybuilders dream of.

About being named the sexiest man alive, Chris said he had a chuckle about it with his wife, saying that it earned him bragging rights at home. “I can just say to her, ‘Now remember, this is what the people think, so I don’t need to do the dishes anymore, I don’t need to change nappies. I’m above it. I’ve made it now,” the actor told People Magazine.
