Her high school sweetheart was Robbin Crosby who would become popular as the guitarist of the rock band Ratt. While they dated, Kitaen traveled with the band on tours and relocated with them to Los Angeles with plans to begin her own show business career.

Despite all of her endeavors in film and television, Tawny Kitaen had not risen to the level of being considered a household name until she began appearing as a provocative vixen in a number of music videos of the British rock band, Whitesnake. The music videos were those of hit songs; “Here I Go Again”, “Still of the Night”, “Is This Love,” and “The Deeper The Love.”

They got married on the 12 of February 1989, a period when the British rock band was at the peak of their success. While the marriage was Kitaen’s first, it was the second for Coverdale who had been previously married to a German lady named Julia Borkowski with whom he had one daughter, Jessica.

Kitaen and Coverdale were the “it” couple of the 80s, but unfortunately, their marriage didn’t last as long as fans had hoped for. Per reports, she had kicked Finley repeatedly in the face while wearing high-heeled shoes. She was restrained from seeing Finley and was asked to enroll in a spousal battery program. The couple was blessed with two daughters; Wynter Merin Finley born on March 18, 1993, and Raine Finley born on June 1, 1998. Kitaen’s  daughters appeared with her in the debut season of the VH1 reality TV show, Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew.
