Yvonne Craig – Bio
Yvonne Joyce Craig was born on March 16, 1937, in Taylorville, Illinois to her American parents whose names are not yet available to the media. She was raised in Columbus Ohio. Later on, her family relocated to Dallas, Texas. Digging into her educational life, Yvonne Craig was a student of W.H Adamson High School, a public secondary school that is situated at the Oak Cliff area of Dallas, Texas. She later attended Sunset High School, but the star was not able to finish her high school studies due to her not having a PE credit.
She later went on to become a member of the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo; a ballet dancing firm. This was after she was discovered by Alexander Danilova, a famous ballerina instructor, and ballet dancer. Craig later parted ways with the firm due to a misunderstanding over a casting call, she took that opportunity to relocate to Los Angeles with the intention of continuing her ballet dancing career. Little did she know she was only being drawn into acting by the hands of fate.
Craig first appeared on the screen when she played a role on the TV show, Perry Mason: The Case of the Lazy Lover (1958). She later appeared in movies The Young Land as Elena de la Madrid, The Gene Krups Story as Gloria Corregio, and on Gidget as Nan. In 1959, Yvonne Craig featured in an episode of the TV show Mr.Lucky and also in Little Miss Wow as Beverly Mills. She also featured in the comedy film High Time as Randy Pruitt. The actress was seen in the 1961 war drama Seven Women from Hell where she starred as Janet Cook.
Yvonne Craig was a cast on the American musical film It Happened At The World’s Fair as Dorothy Johnson in 1963 and in the following year she starred Kissin’ Cousins as Azalea Tatum. She also starred in a television science fiction film Mars Needs Women as Dr. Marjorie Bolen (1966) and also in the spy movie In Like Flint as Natasha (1967).
The actress featured on 5 episodes of CBC’s American sitcom The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis as a guest star and appeared in an episode of the American TV crime show Man with a Camera. She starred as Carol in Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea in 1964. The actress was known for her role as the green-skinned Orion slave on Star Trek in 1969. Her other TV works include The Man from U.N.C.L.E, One Spy Too Many, The Wild Wild West, McHale’s Navy, The Big Valley, The Ghost & Mrs. Muir, Land of the Giants, and many others.

The talented actress took her last breath on August 17, 2015, at her residency Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles, California. She was 78 at the time of her death.
