Phillip Schofield may not need much of an introduction to many of us who are used to seeing his face every morning on ITV anchoring This Morning alongside Holly Willoughby. Schofield was born on the 1st of April 1962 in Oldham, Lancashire but was raised in Newquay, Cornwall. He attended Trenance Infant School and Newquay Tretherras School. Phil has always been interested in the media right from his childhood days. His journey into fulfilling his childhood dreams began at the age of fifteen when he anchored a Sunday show on Hospital Radio Plymouth.
To gather the skill, knowledge, and experience he would be needing to excel in his career, Schofield began writing letters to BBC for the position of a booking clerk and tea boy for its radio house in London; after writing for several years, the network granted his request when he turned seventeen. He was the youngest employee at BBC Radio at the time.
After he turned nineteen, his family relocated to New Zealand; there he landed a job as an anchor presenter of a youth musical program called Shazam!
