July 15, 1988, was the day she was born. Her Dominican mother and Puerto Rican father welcomed the cute bundle of joy in Santo Domingo. Although Aimee Carrero was born in the Dominican Republic, she was mostly raised in the city of Miami, Florida where she went to school. Details of her early educational institutions attended are not available but she finished college at Florida International University where she bagged a degree in International Relations in 2008.

After appearing in a few short films, Aimee Carrero played a role in Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel in 2009 and the same year, she appeared briefly in television series – Lincoln Heights and The Mentalist. She continued to sweep roles in TV series where most of her projects abound. Some of her television credits include Men of a Certain Age, Greek, The Middle, Zeke, and Luther and Baby Daddy. The latter is an ABC Family American sitcom which premiered on June 20, 2012. On Baby Daddy, Aimee Carrero played the role of Sydney in a single episode dubbed “Romancing the Phone” in 2014. Prior to that, the actress starred in one of her popular roles in 2011, she joined the cast of the Cartoon Network live-action film Level Up as Angie. A subsequent television series of the same title had her reprising the role. Her 2012 role came in the television film Blue Lagoon: The Awakening and it wasn’t until 2014 before she co-starred in the horror film Devil’s Due, played a recurring role in the FX series The Americans as well as ABC Family’s Young & Hungry. In 2015, she was confirmed as the voice of Elena – the very first Latina fairytale princess on Disney Channel. The series is titled Elena of Avalor, a spin-off of Sofia the First – the popular Disney Junior series. After a few short roles, Aimee Carrero wrapped up 2018 with a lead, voicing Adora in She-Ra and the Princesses of Power. Aimee Carrero said yes to fellow actor Tim Rock when he proposed to her in November 2015. Their wedding took place in August 2016 and they have been together since then. Tim is an actor, writer, and producer who started out on stage before making his screen debut in 2002. Some of his most notable television appearances came in shows like House of Lies, House and Flashforward. He also has some films to his credit including Ticky Tacky, Yesterday’s Not Tomorrow and Children of the Corn: Genesis. Tim’s execution of his role in the play What’s Wrong with Angry? earned him a nomination for a Joseph Jefferson Award Citation for Best Actor in a Supporting Role.
