Maria and her son find themselves in the middle of a full-blown war going on in the Colombian drug cartels. So to save her life and her son’s, Maria pays the price with her body.

In a 7 minute clip in a season 3 episode, Andrea went nude while acting an intimate scene. This singular act caused an outburst of reactions leading to a myriad of searches of the clip on the internet as well as who the daring actress was.

Realism fans believe this was a step in the right direction as far as professionalism was concerned. However, some find it too extreme, stressing that sticking to make-belief tricks and techniques was a morally appropriate and better option.

Still on the matter, some reviews argued that the Maria Salazar character wrongly depicted the place and worth of women in the society and that the character seemed to have reduced women to helpless species and sexual toys.

In defense of the many critical reviews on her role, Andrea Londo took to Instagram to share her two cents on the alleged supposition that Narcos was replete of “crying women”.

Summing up her points, Andrea is of the view that being true to one’s emotions is nothing to be ashamed of. She also didn’t fail to point out that Maria Salazar’s experiences were the realities of many women given the circumstances and setting of the story. Before now, women lacked the bold recognition as we have them today.

Narcos is the story of actual life events and experiences of drug Lords in the 1930’s. Perhaps why the star felt the compulsion to bare it all as a necessary professional requirement is to bring the picture nearest to life.

So are we seeing Andrea in the 4th season of Narcos? Not likely. Instead, the actress is set to feature in Sons of Anarchy spin-off series.
