The Untold Reason Why There May Not Be A Season 2 of Bluff City Law

Bluff City Law is an American legal drama television series created by Dean Georgaris and Michael Aguilar which tells the story of a lawyer Sydney Strait who gets to work together with her dad Elijah on a tough Civil right case, even though they are not in good terms.

Ratings for the series have continued to dwindle over the weeks with lesser viewers than expected for each new episode. So far the first season of Bluff City Law has an average a 0.65 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.99 million viewers. The series in its premiere drew a 0.81 rating with 4.61 million viewers. The numbers are disheartening and the producers have since announced that shooting of the series will end on the 31st of October, with the completion of the show’s 10th episode.

NBC had estimated it would spend $35 million in Memphis during its first several months of production with the hope of grossing profitably from the series but this seems unrealizable with the current figures so there is a possible plan to let go of the series without a second season.
