Cariba Heine is a talented and beautiful South African-Australian actress who came to the limelight in 2006 when she was cast in the TV series H2O: Just Add Water. She is also a seasoned dancer who has made appearances in dance shows and music videos.
Cariba Heine Bio
Born on 1st October 1988, to parents Kevin and Michelle Heine, her city of birth was Johannesburg in South Africa. She has only one sibling which is her older brother Kyle Heine with whom she grew up and her family was said to relocate to Australia when she was three years old.
In her early childhood days, Cariba fell in love with dance and coupled with the fact that her mother owned a dance school which was situated at Canberra, she spent most of her spare time as a child dancing. She enrolled in diverse dance and gymnastic classes which include jazz dance, tap dance, classical ballet dance, acrobatics and rhythmic gymnastics routines. The hard-working actress also attended the National Capital Acting School to study singing and acting before going to Telopea Park School and St Clare’s College where she said she had a great experience but to enhance her abilities as a dancer, she later resolved to be homeschooled. As her dance skills were being groomed, she was able to land a slot to perform at the Stargazers Convention held in Sydney. She made an appearance in the music video of the singer Will Young’s popular single hit Leave Right Now and has performed in different shows while on tour in America. However, her dance career faced a major setback when she sustained a hip injury and was advised by her Manager to switch to acting temporarily.
From Dance Floors To Film Sets
The passionate dancer had to try her luck in the film industry and has made appearances in numerous series and short films. In 2003, she featured in the short film Ballistic Sessions as Amanda and in 2005, she was in Strictly Come Dancing Heat 12 episode. It was in 2006 that her acting career took off proper when she featured in the TV series H2O: Just Add Water in which she played the lead role as Rikki Chadwick and the sitcom was aired till 2010. The next year, she landed a role in the series Stupid, Stupid Man in a single episode titled The Boyfriend as Mindy. She also landed another lead role in the 2008 series Blue Water High as Bridget Sanchez. She got another guest role in the sitcom The Pacific as Phyllis in the episode Home and was cast in A Model Daughter: The Killing of Caroline Byrne which is one of her popular works. That same year, she was in the short film At the Tattooist as Alex. The actress has also been featured in miniseries and web series like Howzat! Kerry Packer’s War, The Future Machine, Friendly Advice and Adopted.
Other films the actress has been cast in include Dance Academy, Blood Brothers, Quietus, Bait 3D, Hiding, Mako: Island of Secrets, How’d I Get In This Field, Rough Sweat and Designated Survivor.
