She might be little but Christy McGinity Gibel doesn’t settle for less in terms of going after what she wants. Although her star became brighter upon joining the cast of Little Women: LA in 2014, Christy was already building up her resume as an actress in Hollywood. She has a few films and commercials under her belt and was often cast as a stand-in for child stars – apparently because of her body size.

Sadly, this fan-favorite may not be seen on the next season of Little Women: LA, if her reiterations on Season 8 which premiered May. 23, 2019, on Lifetime, are to be taken seriously. She has made up her mind to leave the show but not without some tangible reasons which will be disclosed herein.

What Is Christy McGinity Gibel’s Age?

Christy McGinity Gibel was born in the city of Burbank, California, to undisclosed parents. Her exact date of birth is recorded as August 19, 1977, which means she has spent over four decades on earth but has only managed to grow a few inches above 4 feet. Her visibly little stature is a result of the dwarfism she was born with but notwithstanding, she has not allowed her shortage in the height department stand in her way of chasing her dreams.

She might not be the Hollywood megastar yet but Christy McGinity Gibel is an American actress and reality star.

How Old Was Christy McGinity Gibel When She Became Famous?

Known for motion picture productions such as Death to Smoochy and Little Women: LA, Christy probably started her career in acting early but no specific date has been made public regarding when she kicked off her showbiz career.

She played minor roles in Death to Smoochy and Austin Powers in Goldmember, both in 2002. Before she became famous, Christy also graced a few commercials with her presence and acted as a substitute for child actors.

Her brush with fame came in 2014 when she joined the Little Women: LA and has since become a fan-favorite. She was a presenter at the Reality Television Awards which took place the next year after the inaugural season of the Little Women: LA.

Other television projects she has worked on include Ghost Whisperer and MADtv, she also appeared as herself on .

Behind the cameras, Christy McGinity Gibel is a financial advisor and lingerie designer, although her exploits in those departments are not quite public knowledge.

Meet Her Kids

The reality star has been married to Todd Gibel for more than five years but the union which was made official on May 16, 2014, hit rocky grounds in 2019. Earlier in the year (2019), she made a move to end their marriage and also opened up about how she had endured abuse while married to him.

Though they have been raising her kids together, Todd is not the biological father of Christy’s two children. She is the mother of two kids – Autumn Artran and Trenton whom she had during a previous relationship. Her daughter Autumn was born on October 11, 1999, and has made several appearances with her mom on TV shows. Nothing is known about Christy’s son other than the fact that both of her children have dwarfism like their mother. Also, the identity of the man who fathered Christy’s kids is still not known publicly.

In September 2019, at the age of 42, Christy went public with news of her pregnancy with a new boyfriend. She has promptly moved on from her estranged husband and is expecting a baby with Gonzalo Carazo whom she started dating online, although they have known each other for years.

The Untold Reason She Is Leaving Little Women: LA

It seems Christy McGinity Gibel is drawing the curtain on her Little Women: LA venture. Amid her tumultuous annulment which has been airing on the show and other personal issues, the reality TV star has hinted that she won’t be returning with the rest of the cast for next season.

One of the reasons that may have influenced this decision is her feud with a one-time friend and current Little Women: LA cast member . They have been at loggerheads since 2016 and even engaged in a bar brawl which allegedly landed Christy in the hospital because of a concussion. In a recent social media post, Terra discussed Christy’s struggles with substance abuse and the latter didn’t take it lightly. According to her, Terra broke her contract with the reality show by talking about her in public, thus, the decision to cut ties with the show.

Admittedly, her legal battle with estranged husband is also a contributor to her decision to leave the show.
