She was born Constance Booth on January 31, 1944, in Indianapolis, Indiana, US. Always inclined to the artistic side of life, Booth started out as an understudy in Broadway in New York where her family moved after her birth. While searching for a role she also worked as a waitress and did other few odd jobs to support her hustle.

Connie Booth soon got a role in the British series Monty Python’s Flying Circus in which she starred alongside her then-husband John Cleese whom she met while still on the search for opportunities. They had both met in New York where Cleese was working at the time before they journeyed together into the world of movies. She went on to feature in many more films by the Monty Python comedy group including; How to Irritate People, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and many others.
