The 5 feet 2 inches (157.5 cm) tall, 112.5 lbs (51 kg) heavy actress is best known for starring in How I Met Your Mother, Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street (2013), and Fargo (2015).

Cristin Milioti – Biography

On the 16th of August, 1985 in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, Cristin Milioti was born to parents of Italian descent; Clark Vincent Milioti and Catherine Milioti. At a very young age, Milioti was said to have fallen in love with acting after she attended Long Lake Camp for the Arts while in middle school. She went on to attend Cherry Hill High School East where she continued to be involved in school plays before graduating in 2003.

After leaving high school, Milioti enrolled at the New York University to study acting, however, she only stayed for less than a year as she dropped out in her freshman year to pursue an acting and stage performing career. But things did not go as planned for the aspiring actress as she could only land bit-part roles in advertisements, most notably, the national advertising campaign ad for Ford Edge. Her fortune changed in 2006 when she was cast to play the role of Mairead in the Lyceum Theatre production of The Lieutenant of Inishmore and then as Catherine Sacrimoni in The Sopranos (2006-2007). In 2007, she appeared in the film Greetings from the Shore and in the off-Broadway production of George Bernard Shaw’s The Devil’s Disciple where she played the role of Essie. That same year, she also appeared on Broadway in the play adaptation of Jamila Gavin’s novel ‘Coram Boy’ as Alice Ashbrook.

In the following years, Milioti kept up her outstanding work ethic by appearing in a number of stage plays, series, and movies, of which some earned her award nominations. In 2008, she appeared in the plays Some Americans Abroad and Crooked. In 2009, she appeared in two episodes of The Unusuals and in the movie Year of the Carnivore while also putting in a Lucille Lortel Award-nominated performance for Outstanding Lead Actress in the Lincoln Center Theater production of Stunning. The following year, Milioti starred in The Little Foxes at the New York Theatre Workshop and That Face at the Manhattan Theatre Club, with her performance in the latter furthering her growing reputation as a star.

In 2011, Cristin Milioti got cast to perform in the musical Once. She performed that role from 2011 to 2013 in various theatres, off and on Broadway, earning a Tony Award nomination for Best Actress in a Musical in 2012 and winning a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album in 2013 with fellow principal soloist Steve Kazee. Around this time, Hollywood movie executives took note of her talent and began sending her movies scripts. Some of the films in which she went on to appear in include The Wolf of Wall Street (2013) where she played the role of Teresa Petrillo – the first wife of ‘s character Jordan Belfort, Bert and Arnie’s Guide to Friendship (2013), and The Occupants (2014). Milioti also starred in the finale of season eight and the whole of the ninth season of the series How I Met Your Mother (2013-14) where she played the titular Mother, and then in the romantic comedy A to Z (2014-15), among other minor roles elsewhere.

In recent times, Cristin Milioti has played the role of the cancer-stricken character Betsy Solverson in the comedy crime drama Fargo (2015) which earned her a Critics’ Choice Television Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Movie/Miniseries. She also voiced the character of Sirena, among others, in the adult animated series The Venture Bros. (2016-18) before playing the role of Nanette Cole in an episode of Black Mirror (2017).

 

Husband and Family Life of The Actress

By all indications, Cristin Milioti does not look like she has a husband, or at least no credible publication has confirmed that she is married other than untrustworthy websites that have said that she is secretly married. The actress has been dating actor-turned furniture maker, Jesse Hooker, who she shares an apartment with in Bushwick, Brooklyn. It is not clear if the two are still together as some reports have said that Hooker and Milioti parted ways a few years ago. The two love to keep their personal life private so neither of them has confirmed or denied the rumours.
