Dareh Ardashes Gregorian – Bio

Dareh was born on 24th March 1970 in Austin, Texas to Vartan and Clare Russel Gregorian. His father is an Iran born Armenian-American and has served as the President of the Carnegie Corporation in New York, while his mother was the chairwoman of the organization providing professional development for educators in literacy.

Being one of the three sons born into a well-to-do American family, Gregorian had an exciting childhood growing up with his brothers – Vahe Gregorian and Raffi Gregorian. Sadly, his mom passed on in 2018.

After high school, Dareh Ardashes Gregorian proceeded to Boston University where he acquired a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and mass communication in 1992. Upon graduation, he kicked off his career with The New York Observer, working as a reporter and researcher. After spending one year with the media outlet, he went on to join the New York Post where he began working as a typist and part-time reporter in 1993.

His star shone brightly in 1995 when he got promoted to a full-time reporter, a position he held until 2012. During his time as a reporter with New York Post, Dareh Ardashes Gregorian covered several major news stories for the media agency. When he left, he went on and pitched his tent with the New York Daily News.

It cannot, however, be disregarded how his hard work and talent eventually paid off for him while working with the New York Post. He received several side-jobs such as an assignment exchange reporter and an official reporter for the Supreme Court and several other jobs and all these kept his hands on deck.

Three years into his job at New York Daily News, he was promoted to the political editor of the media house and has remained in that position till date. He has also received a few awards for his hard work and excellence in the media industry. Some of these awards include the New York City Police Department Crimestoppers Award, among others.

Dareh is currently married to Maggie Hagerman. The duo met in 1996 at the New York Post where they both worked at the time. After dating for over six years, they decided to tie the knot in November 2003. Their wedding that took place at the Tribeca Rooftop in Manhattan was officiated by Judge Edward R. Korman and was attended by close friends and family.

They have together ever since and together, they have three adorable kids – Max Gregorian, Miri Gregorian, and Dashiell Gregorian. Dareh Ardashes Gregorian with his wife and kids currently reside in  Brooklyn with their three children.

Maggie a daughter of Clyde Hagerman who was one of the most remarkable journalists of the New York Times. She found fulfillment in the same career her father was renowned for. She works as a political analyst for CNN as well as the White House correspondent for the New York Times.
