Right from when he was just a little boy, David Labrava has always had a soft spot for bikes and even grew up to become a member of the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club.
David Labrava – Bio
October 19, 1962, was the day the motorcycle enthusiast was born in Miami, Florida. There are rumors he is close to his family, especially his mother who is now late, however, the names of his parents are not known. The caucasian-American grew up riding dirt bikes but has no academic history asides the fact that he is a Harley Davidson Mechanic. He graduated from the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute certified by Harley-Davidson motorcycle company. Labrava was 17 when he acquired his first Harley Davidson piece.
He worked as a tattoo artist and club bouncer in Amsterdam and later made his move to Hollywood as a camera operator, working for the Zalman King Company and learning script writing.
With more than thirty years of bike riding under his belt, David Labrava was the right pick for Sons of Anarchy which initially hired him to fill the spot of the Technical Advisor. He later joined the cast of the series as Happy and stayed with the show from the beginning to the end (2008-2014). He also exercised his writing skills on the show’s season four – episode ten (Hands). The episode became the only one that ever won an award on the show and also got recognition from Time Magazine.

David Labrava is a married man but there is no information regarding his wife and how they met. The date and place his wedding took place is also not known but what we do know is that he used to have a son named Tycho Spelis Chiusano. In 2018, a broken Labrava took to social media to share the sad news of his son’s demise, he took his own life on 5th May 2018 after suffering from depression for a while. Tycho was a sixteen-year-old at the time of his death.
Devasted by the loss of his teenage son in such a bizarre turn of events, David Labrava started creating awareness about depression and bipolar, admonishing parents and everyone to pay more attention to their children and people around them. Apparently, the TV star presumed his son was happy and never noticed he was disturbed to the point of taking his life.
In Tycho’s memory, David Labrava set up an online to assist the fight against depression, bipolar, and any other mental illness that might lead to suicidal thoughts. $22,708 has already been accrued, more than the $20,575 goal set out to achieve. This, according to his family, was Tycho’s last wish – to donate to a depression and bipolar organization.
Before he made the decision to commit suicide, Tycho was an intelligent, athletic, and loyal kid who was always sensitive to the feelings of people around him and often made them laugh. He was usually seen with a smile on his face but underneath that smile was a depressed child who didn’t know how to ask for help.
