Biography and Age of Emery Kelly

The Lab Rat actor was born Emery Mikeal Thomas Kelly on December 28, 1997, in New York City, New York. Details about his family such as his parents’ names are not fully known, however, his father is a firefighter and he has a sister, Veronica who he introduced in a Sibling Tag video on YouTube. An accomplished athlete and an avid gamer, he is brilliant in skateboarding and windsurfing.

Emery started out on his way to fame in 2013 when he appeared as a contestant on the Season 3 of the reality competition series The X Factor. Although he did not make it to the finals, as he was eliminated during the boot camp round of the competition, his stay was, however, prolonged when one of the judges Simon Cowell asked him to remain on the show. He was teamed up with two other competitors Ricky Garcia and Jon Klaasen to form the group, Forever in Your Mind.

Eventually, their group was the last contestants cut before the final 16. The trio shot off from there and released their first music video, She Lights the World on November 7, 2013, which premiered on Just Jared Jr. The song was written by Charlie Midnight and Allen Copeland.

In June 2014, the group became short of one member when Jon left. That wasn’t going to be for long as he was replaced by Emery’s cousin Liam Attridge, making them a trio once more. 2015 was a busy year for them, they had lots of collaborations and released several songs. On March 12, they released the song, Sweet Little Something which was followed three days later by a second version featuring .

The pop trio was also on DigiTour with and other pop stars in 2015. That same year, they signed to Hollywood Records in November and followed it up with a music video for their holiday-themed song Wrapped Up for Christmas in December. Their eponymous debut EP was released on June 1, 2016. The singles in the EP include Hurricane, Enough About Me. Their second EP, Euphoric came in January 2018.

Emery Kelly debuted as an actor in 2015 in the series Lab Rats where he played the role of Logan in two episodes. His acting credits include Disney Channel’s Best Friends Whenever, Dog With a Blog, Forever Boys, and the main role on Netflix’s Original comedy series, Alexa & Katie (2018) as Lucas Mendoza.

Emery is also known for his work on 2014 American Music Awards, 2015 Billboard Music Awards, and Teen Choice Awards 2015.
