Currently, he spots the No. 14 jersey for the Los Angeles Dodgers and features as the utility player for the Los Angeles, California-based professional baseball team.

Before Enrique started banding together with the Dodgers, he previously made appearances on the field for the Houston-based team, The Houston Astro as well as the Miami Marlins, where he featured in eighteen games and batted .175 (seven hits in 40 at-bats) for the Marlins. Although the baseball player exhibits more professional skills as an outfielder, he has featured in the MLB on every position except catcher.

Enrique Hernandez’s Bio

Enrique was raised by Puerto Rican parents Enrique Hernández Sr. and Mónica González along with his two younger sisters whose names are missing on the map. His mother, who is into fashion and owns a clothing shop in Toa Baja, gave birth to him on the 24th day of August 1991, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. His father is a baseball scout who works currently for the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Hernandez spent his childhood bonding over the sport of baseball with his father who had hoped to play baseball in the big leagues but his dreams were cut short when the Draft didn’t reach his native country at the time, coupled with a car accident that finally squashed any opportunity of him signing as a free agent in the MLB. That notwithstanding, the elder Hernandez is grateful that his only son is living out his dream in a big way. To date, about 75 to 80 percent of their father and son conversations center around baseball and his fans are loving it.

Enrique Hernandez spent his high school age at the American Military Academy in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. As a junior, he was 5 feet 6 inches tall but later grew five inches taller in his senior year.

Baseball Career

The Puerto Rican utility player launched his professional career in 2009 when he was selected in the 6th round of that year’s MLB Draft by The Houston Astros, who sealed the deal with a $150,000 signing bonus. However, Enrique only made his MLB debut on July 1, 2014, as a defensive replacement in a game against the Seattle Mariners. The athlete was later traded to the Miami Marlins in the same month, precisely on July 31, 2014. His stint with the Marlins, where he appeared in 18 games for the Miami-based baseball team and batted .175 (seven hits in 40 at-bats).

Five months later, Hernández joined the Los Angeles Dodgers after he was traded by the Marlins along with some of his teammates. He has been with the Dodgers since 2015, having signed a one-year contract worth $1.6 million for 2018 with the team in January 2018.

Wife Or Girlfriend, Is He Married Or Dating?

The Los Angeles Dodgers utility player is neither single nor married but he is off the market. While this may come as a heartbreak to ladies crushing the hunk, we can’t help but announce that the lucky beauty is none other than Puerto Rican model, actress, and beauty pageant titleholder Mariana Vicente, born Mariana Paola Vicente Morales.

The 5 feet 8 inches model and Enrique Hernandez share the same birthplace but different birthdays. While the 2010 Miss Universe Puerto Rico winner was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico as well, her date of birth is January 8, 1989 – she is two years older than her boyfriend.

The oldest of Ramón Vicente (a businessman) and public relations officer Izayma Morales’s four children – Sebastián Vicente, Claudia Sofia Vicente, and Ramón Vicente, Mariana reportedly got engaged to the baseball player sometime in July 2017. While we are certain the wedding bells would ring pretty soon, the adorable lovebirds are yet to announce their wedding date and plans.

Body Stats: Height & Weight

Obviously not among the class of the tallest MLB players, Enrique’s height of 1.80 meters (5 feet 11 inches) and weight of 77 kilograms have not posed a big threat to his professional career. Although he stands far from MLB’s standard height, he has battled against several giants and his presence on the field often yields impressive results for his team.
