American-Chinese actor Forrest Wheeler gained prominence among TV audiences for his work on the ABC hit sitcom Fresh Off the Boat where he plays the role of Emery Huang since the series debuted in 2015. Forrest Wheeler was born on March 21, 2004, in Santa Monica, California to a Caucasian-Asian mixed family. In addition to the English language, he speaks Cantonese and takes classes in Mandarin. He began his high school education at Campbell Hall School located in Studio City, Los Angeles.

Forrest Wheeler got enrolled for his first acting class as a shy and reticent 7-year old. However, being a natural talent, it took only a few classes to get him ready to face agents and auditions. He eventually got signed to Clear Talent Agency and afterward, he got featured in numerous commercials, live performances, talk shows, voice-overs, and TV shows.

Among Wheeler’s notable earlier jobs was a voice role on the longrunning kiddies TV show Sesame Street. In May 2014, 10-year old Forrest Wheeler landed a spot on the main cast of the ABC sitcom Fresh Off the Boat. The talented actor has portrayed the regular character, Emery Huang, since the series premiered in March 2015. Fresh Off the Boat is based on a bestselling memoir of the same name and it particularly stands out for being the first network television show in 2 decades to front an all-Asian principal cast. It has also made history as the longest-running Asian-American TV show in the history of US television and the show was renewed for its 5th season in May 2018.

In 2016, Forrest Wheeler collaborated with ISAtv on a web series tagged ‘The Forrest Wheeler Adventures’ which chronicled his quest to become a superhero. He equally made a guest appearance in the animated TV series Sofia the First (2017) and in 2018, he competed in the Nickelodeon reality game show Paradise Run.

Just like in acting, the talented youngster is also a pro in martial arts having enrolled for his first martial arts class at the tender age of 5. A testament to his prowess in the sport, the youngster competed in the 2014 U.S. Open ISKA World Martial Arts Championship where he clinched 7 first-place trophies and one second.

In 2015, Wheeler earned his first black belt in karate and the following year, he earned his second black belt in Extreme Martial Arts (XMA).
