Gordon Ramsay Junior is a renowned restaurateur-cum-celebrity chef and television personality. He was born on the 8^th of November 1966 in Johnstone, Renfrewshire, Scotland. The young Ramsay was nurtured from the tender age of five in Stratford-upon-Avon as the second child of his parents, Gordon Ramsay Senior and Helen Cosgrove.

Ramsay disclosed that his childhood days were despondently itinerant and his family moved ceaselessly due to the failed attempts of his father who was addicted to excess alcohol. They have four beautiful children together: Megan, Holly, Jack, and Matilda. Megan engaged in the 2017 London Marathon after her mother lost a five months old pregnancy due to miscarriage, in 2016. Until 2010, Chris Hutcheson, Ramsay’s father-in-law was in charge of the business activities of Ramsay’s cafeteria empire. On June 7, 2012, Hutcheson was sentenced to six months in prison for conniving to hack Ramsay’s computer system. He and his son were accused of accessing Ramsay’s computer system for almost 2,000 times.

Gordon Ramsay has three beautiful siblings: Diana, Yvonne and a younger brother named Ronnie. Ronnie was incarcerated for being in possession of drugs when he was much younger. Ramsay was once a footballer and he was nominated to play for an under-14 football team when he was just 12 years old. He was fortunate to be selected to play for Warwickshire. Unfortunately, he lagged behind in his football career because he had several injuries. In 1984, he was tried by Rangers, this was the same football club he showed so much support for when he was a child.

At some point, Gordon Ramsay developed an injury on his knee, crashing his cartilage during a training session. Despite his injured knee, he continued his training. At the age of 15, he was signed by Rangers and played a couple of non-league matches during his trials. It was around this time that Ramsay began to develop an interest in cooking. He didn’t just want to be known as a footballer.

When Gordon Ramsay was 19 years, he started concentrating on his culinary education. After he had weighed his options, he joined North Oxfordshire Technical College; financed by the Rotarians in order to study Hotel Management. He disclosed that his venturing into catering school was an accident.

In the early 80s, Ramsay worked at Hoxton House Hotel; where he worked as a commis chef. He was in charge of the 60-seat dining room and the kitchen at the Wickham Arms. This was until his sexual relationship with the wife of his boss was revealed. Ramsay later relocated to London where he worked in several other restaurants until he was motivated to work for Marco Pierre White at Harveys. After he had worked at Harveys for two years and ten months, he was tired of the ill-treatment meted out to him and he made up his mind to take his career to the next level by going to study the French cuisine. Gordon Ramsay decided to take a job in Paris but he was dissuaded by Pierre White. White persuaded him to work for Albert Roux at Le Gavroche in Mayfair. After he had worked at Le Gavroche for a year, Albert Roux gave Ramsay an invitation to work with him at Hotel Diva.
