Biography (Age)

Greg Vaughan was born James Gregory Vaughan Jr. to Barbara Ann Alt and James Gregory Vaughan Sr. on the 15th of June, 1973 in Dallas, Texas. His parents, however, raised him in Mesquite, Texas, where he attended Mesquite High School. When not in school, a young Vaughan would always spend time in the countryside with his grandparents. To get some pocket money, he often worked as a table cleaner at the restaurant in which they owned and operated.

At around the age of 16, while still attending high school, Vaughan learned about a modeling competition which he opted to compete in by sending in photos of himself. As things would pan out, Vaughan was able to make the final list of the competition but did not win. Instead, he was encouraged to pursue a modeling career which he went on to do by signing with an agency.

After graduating from high school, Greg Vaughan got an invitation to model for famed designer Giorgio Armani. He grabbed the opportunity with both hands and quickly moved to Milan, Italy where he spent two and a half months. Vaughan’s time with Armani opened up more opportunities for him as he soon went ahead to work with other renowned designers such as Gianni Versace, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, and the Banana Republic. After a few years working as a model, Vaughan, who had seemingly become something close to a supermodel, grew dissatisfied with the career, which prompted him to look towards acting.

Vaughan first moved to Los Angeles where he took a couple of acting classes before landing his first role in an episode of Baywatch in 1996. That same year, he got the main cast role in the pilot for the series Malibu Shores which further led him to appear in a few episodes of Beverly Hills, 90210 (1996-1997).  Vaughan continued to appear in a number of TV shows before he was able to land a regular role in the second season of Charmed (1999-2000).

In 2002, he landed the role of Diego Guittierez in the daytime drama The Young and the Restless (2002–2003) before going ahead to become the first adult actor to portray the Lucky Spencer character in General Hospital (2003-2009). After leaving the show, Vaughan appeared in films like Borderline Murder (2011) and Love’s Christmas Journey (2011) before he landed the role of Eric Brady in Days of Our Lives (2012–present).
