She was employed as an usher at Angelika Film Center and subsequently as a hat-check girl at a New York Restaurant known as Michael’s Restaurant. It was here that she was spotted by a talent agent and given her first TV gig – a commercial for Coca-Cola. During that period, she also showed up on the covers of several magazines before ending her brief time as a model in favor of building an acting career.
