Henry Golding was born Henry Ewan Golding on 5th February 1987. He was given birth to by a British father, Clive Golding and Malaysian mother, Margaret Likan Golding. Henry was born in the riverine town of Betong, Malaysia and moved to Sarawak, on the East of Malaysia as a child and spent some years of his childhood there.

Henry’s parents moved a lot, so he also lived in Terengganu, Malaysia before relocating once again to the town of Surrey, in the United Kingdom with his family. Nothing is known of the schools he attended in Malaysia; however, it is known that he attended The Warwick School, Redhill in England for some part of his high school education.
