Although she is widely known as , it was as Sarah Heath that the American political icon was born on the 11th day of February 1964. She is one of the four children born to her parents Sarah Heath and Charles Heath. Her mother worked as a school secretary while her dad was a science teacher and athletic coach. She graduated from Wasilla High School and also got a Communication degree from the University of Idaho.
Her husband Todd Palin, also born in 1964, was raised in Dillington, Alaska. He is the son of James Palin and Blanche Palin. Of Dutch and English ancestry, Todd also attended Wasilla High School and afterward, he took some college courses but doesn’t have a degree. He established himself as a commercial fisherman, Snowmobile racer and Oil field production worker.
While they were both attending Wasilla High School, Sarah was a popular figure at the time. She took part in various activities including basketball and was a member of the school band. She was crowned Miss Wasilla in 1984 and also finished third in the Miss Alaska Pageant later in the same year. The rumors first started making the rounds in 2011, when Joe McGinniss released a book titled The Rogue: Searching for the Real Sarah Palin.
McGinniss, who was criticized for what he wrote in the book, happens to be their next-door neighbor at the time. The book revealed several details relating to Sarah’s infidelity and the following year, Shailey Tripp released a book Boys Will Be Boys which also detailed how she became sexually involved with Todd Palin. As a matter of fact, she said she eventually started working for him as a prostitute. In the wake of the moment, many people thought their marriage had reached a dead end, but the couple managed to find their way around it.
In the years that followed, the couple went through a lot including Todd’s Snowmobile crash that landed him in the ICU and the 2018 Alaska earthquake, among others.
