Emilia Fox is an English actress with a career that spreads across film, TV, and theatre. With a filmography as long as her family’s history in film, Fox is a very busy actress who possibly has never been out of a job. Since announcing herself with her role as Dorota in the 2002 biographical film, The Pianist, Emilia Fox has never looked back. She has gone on to impress with noteworthy roles in films like The Soul Keeper which brought her her first ever award – the Flaiano Film Award for Best Actress. Emilia Fox hails from a popular English acting empire. Her paternal grandfather, Robin Fox was a theatrical agent, actor and the Chairman of the English stage company. Her father, Edward Fox is a stage, film, and TV actor and as of 2018 remains fairly active in the industry. He had a small role in the 2018 action comedy film, Johnny English Strikes Again.

Emilia’s mother Joanna David (née Joanna Elizabeth Hacking) is an actress who is best revered for her work in television. Her brother Frederick “Freddie” Fox is also an actor who was born on the 5th of April 1989. He is best recognized for his performances in theater. Emilia Fox has an actress stepsister Lucy Fox from her father’s first marriage to actresses Tracy Reed who passed away in May 2012 as a result of liver cancer.

Fox’s uncle James Fox (her father’s brother) as well as his kids (her cousins) Jack, Laurence and Lydia all have active acting careers. Emilia Fox’s great-grandmother Hilda Hanbury and her sister, Lily Hanbury were both actresses.

Emilia Fox has one daughter named Rose Gilley from her relationship with actor Jeremy Gilley. At the time of this writing, Emilia Fox is a divorcee and a single mother. The actress is well-known for having many high profile relationships in time past. Though she is without a husband at the moment, Fox revealed during a 2017 interview with that she is open to starting a relationship should the right person come along.

In the same interview, Fox said that though her past relationships didn’t quite work out as she might have liked, she doesn’t consider them failures and have only learned from what she described as “unique experiences.”

Her high profile relationship history dates as far back as the year 2000 when she began dating comedian Vic Reeves. They met each other on the set of the BBC One drama Randall & Hopkirk. With Reeves still married to someone else, he engaged Emilia, however, they soon ended things on a mutual decision.

Emilia Fox then briefly dated fashion designer Toby Mott before beginning a relationship with actor Jared Harris the son of Irish actor Richard Harris. The pair got married in 2005 in what turned out to be a short-lived marriage. They separated in 2008 and in 2010 finalized their divorce. Fox would later blame their divorce on their long-distance relationship as well a tragic miscarriage that she suffered in 2007. She also revealed that she never paid attention to her emotions in the aftermath of the divorce.

With her divorce from Jared Harris yet to be finalized, Emilia Fox began dating actor Jeremy Gilley and by May 2010 it was announced that she was pregnant. She birthed a baby girl named Rose in November 2010. Sadly, welcoming a bundle of joy together was not enough to cement their relationship as the couple parted ways in 2011.

Fox then moved on to celebrity chef Marco Pierre White whom she dated for a year between 2012 and 2013. Since their split, the actress seems to have slowed down on her whirlwind romances and has made her daughter Rose her priority.
