Ivana Baquero Bio, Age

The actress was born in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain on the 11th of June 1994 to Ivan Baquero and Julia Macías who gave her the name Ivana Baquero Macías, we, however, refer to her more commonly as Ivana Baquero. She is white and has Spanish ethnicity and nationality.

As a young child, Baquero attended American School of Barcelona which is situated in Esplugues de Llobregat, Catalonia, Spain. At this school, she learned how to speak English, Spanish and Catalan fluently before graduating in the year 2012. Her further educational pursuits include a mention of her enrolling to study law in a university, but the name and location of the college remain unspecified just as the veracity of this claim by a few sources has not been substantiated.

Prior to her high school graduation, however, Ivana Baquero had already begun showing an inclination to acting as she recorded her earliest work as the character Ana in Romasanta (2004). This was followed by another work in that same year titled Rottweiler where she played the character of Esperanza before portraying Mandy in Fragile (2005).

The Spanish born actress recorded her big break as an 11-year-old girl when , renown Mexican director, producer, filmmaker, a seasoned actor, author and authority in many other film/entertainment related things, chose her to play the character of Ofelia in Pan’s Labyrinth (2006). It is on record that many young girls numbering about 1000 auditioned for this role but out of the many, only Ivana Baquero was chosen and she went on to perform excellently to rave and critical acclaim. The role of Ofelia/Princess Moanna was originally intended for an 8-year-old but being that Ivana was 11 at the time, the film scripts were edited to enable her to blend into the character perfectly.

Her other film credits include The Anarchist’s Wife (2008) as Paloma, Louisia James in The New Daughter (2009), Lena in Absencia (2009), Hildegart Rodriguez in The Red Virgin (2011), Another Me (2013) as Kaylie, Gelo and The Misfits Club both in 2014 as Catarina, Joana and Meri respectively and Demonios Tus Ojos (2016) as the character Aurora being her latest film work.

On television, the Spaniard made her debut as Nicole in Maria I Assou followed by Moni in Películas para no dormir: Cuento de Navidad both in 2005 and The Shannara Chronicles (2016–2017) where she acted as Eretria.
