The American actress was born on March 12, 1984. The Greenville, South Carolina-born beauty spent just a few years in her place of birth after which she relocated with her family to Grapevine, Texas, at the age of four. In grade school, she started showing great potentials in acting but sucked so much in the theater that she was given the boot in high school because she was unable to sing. She later finished her academic requirements at Colleyville Heritage High School and took to Los Angeles for her acting career.

She finally got her chance as a professional actress in 2003 in the leading role of Hanna Thompson in the film The Other Side. She got the role by chance as she was just helping out at the audition when the director saw she was perfect for the role.

The Other Side opened the door for other roles with Squirrel Trap coming in as the second movie she appeared in, portraying Sara. She then made a guest appearance in It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and in an episode of Standoff.

Soon, Jaimie Alexander started getting more prominent parts, appearing in Watch Over Me (2006–07 series) in a leading role as Caitlin Porter. She had to go on a one-month hiatus to recover.

A ruptured appendix sent her back to the hospital in March 2018 and she made a full recovery after undergoing surgery.
