James Harden has gone beyond the point where he is trying to prove anything. Harden who is the youngest of three children was born on August 23, 1989, in Los Angeles, California. His time at Artesia High School in Lakewood saw him improve his stats every season, leading the team to the California state title in his junior and senior years. His Professional Career

1. Oklahoma City Thunders

Harden continued to break personal and team records with the Thunders after he joined them as the third overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft. He scored a season-high 26 points in his first two seasons with the team and a season-high 40 points from a reserve role in his third and final season. In his first season, he attempted and made seven consecutive three-pointers across two games, making him the first rookie to achieve it since Michael Dickerson in 1999. James also scored 45 points in his second game, bringing his points total to 82, a first-ever in the history of the NBA. He hit his first triple-double (21 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists) against Charlotte Bobcats on February 2, 2013, and a career-high 46 points eighteen days later in a win against his former team. In his sophomore campaign with the Rockets, Harden was named Western Conference Player of the Week for two consecutive weeks between February and March. In 2016, Harden signed a whopping new four-year $118 million contract with the Rockets and continued to break records. He scored triple-doubles in four consecutive games and won several Western Conference Player of the Month and Player of the Week honors, tieing Hakeem Olajuwon’s franchise history. Harden finished the 2016-2017 season with 22 triple-doubles and over 2000 points, becoming the first ever franchise player to do that.

James Harden ended the season with an average of 30.4 points, gifting him his first scoring title.
