Although he has fought his way to superstardom; Collins has a rather touching life story than most of his mates. Growing up wasn’t so rosy for him, but his determination kept him at the top of every situation until now. He was the last of the five children born to Carolyn and Fred Collins. His parents both died of a heart attack when he was just six years old. While he was in high school, he lost his elder brother Fredrick who also died of heart attack. I have been that heart problems run in their family, but Collins is free from it, at least as long as it hasn’t surfaced. Frederick’s death brought Collins and his family nothing but grief. His only sister and the eldest of the five Lisa took care of Jamie along with his three other brothers Darryl, Phillip, and Frederick after their parent’s demise.

They all struggled to get something better out of life and even dropped out of school at some points. His late brother Fred lived in Las Vegas where he played basketball. He taught Collins everything he knew in sports before his death and after his death; Collins found refuge in Sports. He became one of the best athletes during his high school days. He won state championship titles in discus and shot put. Collins also played football and basketball. He is just good at anything he does. Quite amazing isn’t it?
