Jey Uso is a professional American wrestler of Samoan descent who wrestles as one-half of a tag team with his brother Jimmy Uso. The Uso’s are twin sons of former WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi who personally trained his boys to take after him when he is gone from the ring. Indeed, the boys have lived up to expectation as they have kept and guarded fiercely, the honor of the family name in the fighting ring.

This article has been dedicated to looking at the life of one of the brothers – Jey Uso; his bio, marital life, body statistics and just about anything that has made him as tough as he is today, so read on.

Jey Uso Bio, Age

Jey was born on the 22nd of August 1985 in San Francisco, California, under the sun sign of Leo with his twin brother Jimmy. The twins were born to former WWE champion Solofa Fatu better known as Rikishi and his wife Talisua Fuavai-Fatu. His full name is Joshua Samuel Fatu and he has as his siblings; Jeremiah Peniata Fatu (elder brother) and the younger ones Joseph Fatu, Samson Fatu, Thamiko Fatu, Thavana Monalisa Fatu.

The Uso’s are from the legendary Anoai family, famous as wrestling champions. Jey Uso and his twin brother were trained by their father, known in his wrestling heydays as a threat and no easy opponent to whoever that faced him in the ring. Rikishi did well to inculcate in his boys, all that he had gathered from his years as a professional wrestler and little wonder Jey and Jimmy always know how to rout any opponent they meet.

Jey received formal education at Escambia High School in Pensacola, Florida, where he also played football with his peers. After high school, he went on to enrol at the University of West Alabama where he continued playing football as a linebacker until he graduated.

From an early age, Jey and his elder twin brother took a liking to wrestling as they often watched their father’s matches, more so, their dad equally began to train them on how to wrestle during his spare time and soon, the Uso brothers thought it best to pursue a career as professional wrestlers.

In the Florida Championship Wrestling in 2009, Jey Uso made his first wrestling appearance with his brother and by January 2010, they started fighting competitively as they recorded their first career victory over The Rotundo Brothers. With Sarona Snuka as their manager, Jey and Jimmy emerged the FCW Florida Tag Team Champions after defeating The Fortunate Sons. This victory of theirs went down in history as one of many to come in their career.

As the Uso brothers fought to the top, they recorded several victories, some of which led to their emergence as Tag Team of the Year (2014) in Pro Wrestling Illustrated, 2-time WWE Tag Team Champions in 2014, 3-time WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions as well as bagging the Slammy Award for Tag Team of the Year (2014, 2015).

Family: Married, Wife, Kids

Being a handsome looking young man and a successful wrestler, Jey Uso might have been in a couple of relationships in the past before he finally got married. However, nothing is known about his pre-marital dating life as it is only his present wife that he has been associated with for yonks now.

The Samoan wrestler is married to Takecia Travis with whom he shares two sons. The two have been married since 2015. The marriage between them was relatively unknown until Naomi, one of Jey’s sister-in-law posted a picture of the wrestler’s family on social media. Since then, other pictures showing the wrestler, his wife and their sons have followed, laying credence to the fact that indeed he is married with kids. The names of the kids, however, have not been revealed but when they become public, we are sure to let you be in the know of it.

Height, Weight

Wrestling is one sport in which height is of vital importance though not absolutely. But should any wrestler aim to beat the big boys of the sport, such a person will do well to be able to stand at a good height lest it looks like a bout between an elder brother and his younger one.

In this regard, Jey Uso stands at an impressive height of 6 feet 1 inch or 1.85 m. He is just an inch shorter than his twin brother who is 6 feet 2 inches or 1. 88 m. In the weight category, Jey is also lighter at 228 lbs or 103 kg while his identical twin brother is much heavier at 251 lbs or 114 kg.
