Joe Staley was born on August 30, 1984, at Rockford, Michigan. He attended Rockford High School where his athletic interest meant that he would participate in high school sports, most especially, in track and football. Staley raced a 200-meter dash in about 21.9 seconds which set a new school record and he also successfully took part in relay races during his time in high school. His heroics in football also did not go without notice as in 2004, he received a scholarship offer from Central Michigan University to play his collegiate football under their scholarship program.
He played as a tight end and in his first year, and in the 11 games he played in that season, Staley caught 11 passes for 13.0 yards and one touchdown, recording a career-high of two catches for 34 yards and a touchdown. He also gained an extra 80 pounds and in his second year, he was moved to play the offensive line where he could function better. He again played 11 games in his new position that year recording 53 knockdowns with an average of 48.8 yards.
During the 2007 NFL Draft, he was selected by the San Francisco 49ers as an offensive line player. He finished his 2007 season for his new team with 16 starts and 8 sacks. The following season, Staley was moved to left tackle where he started all the games that season but recorded just 8.5 sacks that year.
In 2009, he signed a six-year contract with the San Francisco 49ers. That year he suffered a severe knee injury which kept him away for 7 games playing only 9 games with 3 sacks. In 2011, he caught a pass which led to a 20-10 victory against the Cleveland Browns. In 2012, he earned a nod for the 2013 Pro Bowl and the team finished 4th place in the league that season.
Staley has spent 11 years playing professional football with the San Francisco 49ers. He has so far stayed with his team through their toughest seasons and has been to one Super Bowl. Caroline Dew was born on December 8, 1986, in San Diego, California to Jim and Pam Dew. She has an elder sister known as Natalie and they were raised by both parents in the city of Encinitas in California. Dew attended the University of Notre Dame and graduated with a bachelors degree in marketing. As a college student, she played soccer for the school team known as Notre Dame Fighting Irish as a defender.
As a soccer player, Caroline has represented the United States U-20 Women’s National Team at the 2006 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Championship which held in Russia. She also played in the U-17 and U-16 cadre of the US national team.
