Joe Tippett Biography
Joe Tippett was born on September 2, 1980, in New York City, New York. Although it is known that his parents are John Tippett and Amy Tippett, there is no information in the public domain regarding how he was brought up as well as his educational qualification.
As a child growing up, the actor’s interest was not in acting as one would naturally expect. Instead, it was in sports. However, when he was in high school, he had an English teacher who drew him into acting and since then, there was no looking back for him. This was even as he was very good with sports such that had he wanted to go to college on an athletic scholarship, it would have been easy for him.
Joe was drawn to the theatre but once he returned home once and found Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf was on, he concluded it was what he was going to do. It gets interesting to note that Joe Tippett returned home on the said date drunk.
For his education, he would later audition for a West Virginia University scholarship but he left it later to work at Williamstown.
Inasmuch as he is an actor who is highly underrated, Joe Tippett has appeared in many productions. His first film role was as Ben in the 2006 film, Gray Matters. He was also in Our Time (2016), Monsters and Men (2018), and Patsy and Loretta (2019). On TV, his popular work is Rise (2018), although he has been making appearances since 2013.
On Stage, which is where his light shines brightest, Joe Tippett has many appearances both in Broadway and Off-Broadway. In 2013, he was in Ashville followed by Airline Highway (2015), and then Waitress in 2015 and 2016. In the same year, he was also in Indian Summer, This Day Forward, and Familiar. His most recent works are All the Fine Boys (2017) and Our Very Own Carlin McCullough (2018).
His Relationship With Sara Bareilles
Joe Tippett and Sara’s relationship is mostly referenced to their work together in 2016 on Waitress, a Broadway show that the singer wrote and also played the role of Jenna, while Joe took the role of Earl Hunterson. However, that was not their first meeting. The first time they met was in 2015 when they had the Out-of-town tryout of the same show in Cambridge, Massachusetts at the American Repertory Theater. That marked the beginning of their love story.
Soon after they met, their friendship blossomed into an item. However, it was not until 2017 that they finally made their first public appearance together as a couple at the year’s Tony Awards.
