His first walk down the aisle was with Lori Anne Allison ( a make up artist) on December 20, 1983, when he was just 20 and she was 25. It would seem like Depp isn’t too good with wives because they divorced 2 years later in 1985. Nevertheless, she made an impact in the star’s life, she introduced Johnny to her friend and fellow actor Nicolas Cage, which led to him landing his first big role in Nightmare on Elm Street.

Though she was probably the gateway to his success, their love could not stand the test of time. Despite all this, they still have a cordial relationship. When Depp was accused by his most recent ex wife, Amber Heard, of domestic violence, she swiftly came to his defense.

According to TMZ, she told friends that the 52-year-old star was not capable of hurting anyone and would never lay a hand on a woman, she added that Johnny never got physical with her during their relationship and did not even scream at her in anger.

Some would argue that 1985 was a long time ago and that people change, but the two seem to have been in good communication since then. Before the whole ugly issue with Amber Heard, she last spoke to Johnny the week following the death of his mother.

Amber and Depp met on the set of the movie The Rum Diary, where the played each other’s love interest in 2009. Their actual relationship did not start till 2012, but you can bet that the seeds were planted. It was soon after his relationship with his girlfriend of 14 years and the mother of his two children, French actress Vanessa Paradis that the actor began seeing Heard.
