Nope! Orlando isn’t one of YouTube stars that give DIY tips, he is an incredibly talented singer who with the help of his sister began posting his cover of popular songs online and gradually got the world’s attention.

How many people in the world? you might ask… Johnny Orlando has a whopping 5 MILLION followers on Instagram and 3 million and counting subscribers on his eponymous YouTube channel. He has over 10 million fans across all of his social media platform.

Orlando is the next , we dare to say. (FYI: Biebs is the most followed male musical artist in the world on Instagram with 99 million followers). Another similarity between him and JB? They are both Canadians. Orlando has transitioned from just covers to doing his own music, and they sound pretty amazing. Johnny Orlando Bio (Age and other Background Details)

Johnny Orlando was born on January 24, 2003, in Mississauga, Canada to parents Meredith and Dale Orlando. His family includes two older sisters Darian and Madison and a younger sister named Lauren. Johnny is the only son of his parents. Growing up, Johnny was exposed to different genres of music which his dad would play in the house.

This fueled his love for music and by the age of 6, he began singing at school and with his older sister Darian. Though none of his parents are good singers, the ability to sing does run in the Orlando genes as his paternal grandmother was a good singer.

When Johnny was 8 years old (about a month to his 9th birthday), his sister Darian (13 years old at the time) after receiving approval from their parents started a YouTube channel and began posting videos of Johnny doing a cover of popular songs. Their parents had allowed them to go ahead with the videos as they thought it won’t attract much interest, but they were in for a shock.

Johnny’s first video garnered about 10,000 views and the next one reached 50,000 views and the numbers just kept going up! Some of his earliest successful videos included the cover to ‘ Stitches and ‘s Bad Blood.

Johny originally aspired to become a hockey player, however, after his covers began gaining traction, he switched his focus completely to music. By late 2015, Johnny Orlando’s fame had shot over the roof. In 2016, he branched out into other platforms including musical.ly and also began touring with MAGCON across the United States.

Orlando had begun doing original music at the age of 9, some of the earliest ones including “Summertime”, “Replay”, and “Never Give Up”. However, he began taking his own music serious in the summer of 2016 when he released his first single “Let Go”.

Johnny’s other original songs include; “The Most”, “Everything”, and “Thinking About You”. He has become a frequent collaborator with Dance Moms alum Mackenzie Ziegler. Their first song together “Day & Night” was released in late 2016. They have also toured together in Europe.

Orlando’s father Dale Orlando, who is a lawyer currently serves as his manager. In a 2018 , he revealed that he was in talks with labels for a record deal.

Where Does He Live Today?

Johnny Orlando is a Canadian native and still lives in Canada. As his father revealed in his interview on Róisín Meets, Johnny would be staying with the family until he turns 18 or 19 and decides to go off on his own.

Johnny attends a private school for performance athlete in Canada. He plays hockey in the school but has since given up on his dreams as a hockey player to focus on music. The advantage of attending the school is that it allows him to be away for about 3 to 4 weeks. Johnny then uses those times to focus on his music.

He has been nominated for a couple of Kid’s Choice and Teens Choice Awards.

His Girlfriend

All and sundry thinks that Johnny is in a relationship with his Mackenzie Ziegler. The duo was brought together by their music producers and soon they began working together and became very close.

Their individual social media pages are awash with photos/videos of themselves that they are dating. However, neither Johnny or Mackenzie has said anything about being in a relationship other than that they are just really close friends.

Height

Johnny Orlando is in his teens which means that he is still growing. He currently stands at a height of 5 feet 4 inches, that is 1.63 meters. Chances are that Orlando would be close to hitting the 6 feet mark and beyond when he attains adulthood.
