Josh Murray, an actor and a reality TV star, has made a name for himself in the entertainment industry. He is popularly known for his victory at the tenth season of ABC’s reality show ‘The Bachelorette’ where he out-performed the other male contestants to win the heart of Andi Dorfman, a district attorney from Atlanta Georgia.

Josh Murray Bio

He was born Joshua Allan Murray on August 12, 1984, in Syracuse, New York and attended Jesuit High School in Tampa, Florida. Josh who was inclined to baseball, ventured into the sports after his graduation from high school. He was immediately drafted in the 2nd round by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2003 MLB Amateur Draft held in June that year.

He played only for five seasons before his career ended due to injuries. He had played for West Virginia Power and Brevard County Manatees in 2005 and 2006 seasons before retiring in 2007 after a stint with Charlotte County Redfish. He attended the University of Georgia and also played football with his brother Aaron who was very good in the sports.

Murray got a degree in Business Administration from the school and went on to work as an Advisor. Afterwards, Josh Murray gradually made his way to TV and participated as one of the Bachelors in The Bachelorette season 10 in 2014. He was one of the 25 contestants who sought to win the heart of Bachelorette Andi Dorfman from Atlanta Georgia. The show ended on July 28, 2014, with Murray as the winner, subsequently becoming Andi’s fiancé. However, the relationship came to an end in January the following year.

In 2016, Josh Murray participated in the 3rd season of Bachelor in Paradise and also participated in Famously Single. In 2017, he went on to appear in the second season of MTV’s reality game show, The Challenge: Champs vs. Stars which was hosted by WWE wrestler Mike ‘The Miz’ Mizanin.

Family – Mom, Brother

Although he was born in New York, Murray was raised by his parents Lauren and Dennis in the city of Tampa, Florida. Not much is known about his mother’s occupation but his father is known to be an engineer. The former baseball player is an older brother to his two siblings; Aaron Murray and Stephanie Murray.

Sports must have been a hereditary trait or a welcomed norm by the Murrays. His father played baseball and was a pitcher in the minor league while his mother was a cheerleader in high school. Josh and found love in the third season of Bachelor in Paradise in 2016. Being a year after Murray’s break up with Bachelorette Andi Dorfman of The Bachelorette season 10, it was quite a tough journey for the two. But lovestruck Josh was not one to give up on his chase. He went as far as introducing Stanton to his mother towards the finale of Bachelor in Paradise, with plans to put a ring on her finger too; which he eventually executed.

However, the sweet nothings faded in January 2017 as the couple reportedly split. There were rumours that they got back together in February 2017 but it seemed their differences outweighed the love they both shared. As a matter of fact, the two have officially gone their separate ways.
