Dinamo Zagreb
Season 2019-20
Josko Gvardiol made his senior Dinamo league debut on October 18 in a 4–2 win against Gorica. Furthermore, he replaced Mario Gavranovi in the 87th minute.
On November 2, in his second league game for the club, he scored the only goal in a 1–0 victory over Inter Zaprei.
Moreover, his goal made him Dinamo’s sixth-youngest league goal scorer.
Season 2020–21
Gvardiol came on for Mario Gavranovi in the 54th minute of a Champions League qualifier against CFR Cluj in August 26following Kévin Théophile-red Catherine’s card.

Gvardiol made his Bundesliga debut on August 20, 2021, playing the entire match in a 4–0 victory over VfB Stuttgart.
He soon established himself in Leipzig’s starting XI and drew attention with his excellent performances. Then, on September 15, he made his Champions League debut, losing 6–3 against Manchester City.
