Her father worked as a movie producer, while her mother was an air hostess for Pan Am airline. She has a younger brother named Jason Bateman who is a revered actor, producer, and director in the industry. Justine caught the performance bug at a tender age and began appearing in local plays as a child. By the time she was 15, she began to land roles in commercials.
