She was on the set of over 50 movies and TV series, notable among her movie credits are films like The Hunter – a Steve McQueen’s movie which cast her in the leading role in 1980. She was also part of the cast of Raw Dead where she also played the lead character in 1986. Her other movies include Nightwing (1979), The Sender (1982), The Pursuit of D. B. Cooper (1981), and Yes, Giorgio where she starred alongside Luciano Pavarotti in 1982. Kathryn also played the leading role in Modern Romance in 1986 but came in as a supporting character in the movie titled Into the Night (1985).

Her career in television began on the set of the NBC soap opera titled The Doctors where she portrayed the character of Nola Dancy Aldrich from 1976 to 1977. From 1978 to 79, Kathryn joined the cast of The Rockford Files, playing the role of a blind Psychiatrist. She later appeared on MacGruder and Loud and The Bronx Zoo in leading roles.

Further along in her career, Kathryn Harrold was cast in the NBC period drama titled I’ll Fly Away. She also portrayed the character of Francine Sanders on The Larry Sanders Show, where she was one of the main cast members. The former film and television star has only been married once; on the 14th of February 1994, she got married to Lawrence O’Donnell, who worked as the Democratic Chief of Staff for the Senate Finance Committee during Clinton’s administration from 1993 to 1995.

Lawrence is also a journalist who notably worked with MSNBC as a political analyst from 1995 till 2010. After his stint as a political analyst, he began hosting The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell, still on MSNBC.

The couple’s union is blessed with a daughter named Elizabeth Buckley Harrold O’Donnell but unfortunately, their marriage ended in divorce in 2013.

According to several reports, the period after the divorce was a difficult time for Kathryn who couldn’t accept the end of her marriage easily. But in the years that passed, the former actress has seemingly accepted the circumstances.
