Laura Ashley Samuels is an American actress whose road to fame began in 2010 when she appeared in the horror movie The Final as Kelli. She was also in the TV shows True Jackson, VP and Wizards of Waverly Place as Bijou Stinkbottom and Sara respectively. Since then, she has come to build a rather impressive resume for herself as an actress with performances in more than twenty movies and TV shows.

Laura Ashley Samuels was born on August 29, 1990, in Prosper, Texas to Sherry Samuels and Warren Samuels. She was brought up as the youngest child with two older sisters in a Christian home. Her father is a minister of the gospel who has spent more than three decades as a local minister; he was initially at Global Mission Fellowship before he launched the NEXT Worldwide with the aim or taking the gospel to the next generation.

Laura developed an interest in acting pretty early in life and she continued to sustain it so much that by the time she was eighteen, she decided to leave the only home she ever knew, Texas, for Los Angeles, California to pursue her career as a professional actress.

Laura Ashley Samuels would later get her first acting roles in 2010 when she appeared in two films – The Final and Monster Heroes and two TV shows – True Jackson, VP, and Wizards of Waverly Place. These were followed by more film appearances including In Time (2011), Getting That Girl (2011), The Cheating Pact (2013), Dumbbells (2014), Barrio Tales 2 (2016), Walk of Fame (2017), and Kill Game (2018).

On TV, she has not appeared in too many productions, but still got to make a little mark in productions like 90210 (2011), Raising Hope (2012), Awkward (2012), Modern Family (2015), Workaholics (2017) and Lopez (2017).

As already stated, the parents of the actress are Sherry and Warren Samuels, both of whom are devoted Christians who have spent many years of their lives preaching the gospel. According to the actress, she has not only grown to be very close to her two sisters but also to her parents whom she said have helped her in becoming the woman she is.

Although they have spent most of their lives in the small community of Prosper in Texas, where they gave birth to their three daughters and brought them up, Sherry and Warren have been working for some time in Los Angeles where they run the Hope to Hollywood organization which they began in 2016. The aim of the organization is to reach young people in Hollywood and raise the next generation of worshippers.

In a post on Hope to Hollywood’s website in April 2019, Warren suggested that he may be suffering from Leukemia which he said had made it impossible for him to leave Laura’s house for two days, canceling all his appointments.
